Earlier today, EA announced that the demo for NBA Live 18 will be available for download tomorrow for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Additionally announced, 2016-2017 NBA MVP runner-up James Harden will serve as the game's cover athlete. Harden was quoted in the press release saying, "When I heard about working with EA Sports and being the cover athlete for NBA Live 18 I was pretty excited for the opportunity." Harden continued, "NBA Live 18 is about creating your own identity and making your mark on the league and I can definitely relate to that. If anybody knows about creativity, it's me."
The demo will allow players to take part in "The Rise," the prologue to the game's career mode titled, "The One." Progress made in the demo will be transferred over into the full game, allowing players to get an early jump on their in-game careers, similar to NBA 2K's Prelude. The demo will also include specially-timed Live Events, described as, "limited-time activities with special rules, rewards, and characters only available in The One." Rewards earned in these weekly events will also carry over into the full game to entice players to regularly return to gain new rewards.
Rounding out the demo is a Play Now mode, allowing players the opportunity to pick either the defending champion Golden State Warriors or their Eastern Conference rival, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Players that pre-order NBA Live 18 at participating retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy, will receive a 33% discount off the retail price, making it $40 USD. EA Access members qualify for an additional 10-percent discount if they purchase the game through the service on Xbox One.
Earlier this month, it was also revealed that, for the first time ever, the full roster of the WNBA will be included in this year's installment of NBA Live.
