Air Jordan 1 Flyknit Gets Release Date

The Air Jordan 1 is the shoe that started the lifestyle of the Jordan brand, and a shoe that is still collected in the sneaker community that people still hold a special place for in their collections.

We have seen many rereleases of the Air Jordan 1's over the years, and we have even seen this year quite a few, including a huge run of the Air Jordan 1 "Mids" and also the "Rare Air 1's," which were the original Jordan logo before the wings were replaced by the now-iconic Jumpman logo. But now, the Jordan 1 model will take on a look that has never been seen before.

In 2012, Nike released their Flyknit Technology for fitness shoes, and was even included on some of their biggest basketball releases. Now it will be mixed with the Holy Grail on the Jordan Sneaker (depending who you talk to of course). On September 9th, we will see the Jordan 1 Flyknit with the same colorway as the "Banned" Jordan 1's, or as other sneaker heads describe it, "the Breds."

I love Jordan 1's and I have many Nike sneakers with the excellent Flyknit Technology, but I won't be adding a pair of these shoes to my collection. The price tag of $180 isn't terrible considering AJ1's normally retail for $160 but it's just not a good looking shoe to me.

Wanna talk about this release with Tim? Well you can find him here to discuss sneaker releases and Basketball happenings.
