Norse Dominate UIC to Improve to 2-0 in Horizon League Play

The veteran leadership of the NKU Norse was as obvious as ever during their second Horizon League came of the season against the University of Illinois-Chicago with a large victory by the score of 86 to 51. Norse are now 9-5 and 2-0 in conference play

Coach John Brannen's group played a first half you had to see to believe going 8/15 from 3 including guard Lavone Holland II going 4/4 from 3 during the half. Junior star Drew McDonald made two buzzer beaters in the half including the shot that took the team to halftime. The Norse continue to get a nice spark from their bench where guys like Mason Faulkner, and Jeff Garrett brought 100% effort when their name was called.

This NKU team is a group of guys who have won and you can see it when they play. They're a team with few flaws and you really have to decide which guy you're going to try and stop en route to facing them.

The Norse next play Friday, January 5th against Conference rival Oakland at 9pm on ESPN 3.
