Lebron James suffers right foot injury.
Lakers forward LeBron James is slated to miss several weeks due to a right foot injury sustained in the Lakers 111-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. However, this is a devasting blow for the Lakers, as they currently sit 29-32 on the season, where they find themselves just outside of playoff contention. James, currently leads the Lakers in just about every category as he averages, 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. This is a substantial blow for the Lakers, as it is an injury that they are still uncertain on in terms of how long James will be out, but reports say he will be re-assessed in two weeks, to determine the extent of the injury. This is a substantial blow for the Lakers, with just a couple weeks of the season remaining, while the Lakers fight for a playoff spot, the Lakers will look to lean on newly acquired guys like Jared Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, DeAngelo Russell, alongside Anthony Davis to hold down the fort until James is capable of returning. Can the Lakers weather the storm while James is out? We will find out here in the next couple of weeks.

Hornets guard LaMelo Ball suffered a fractured right ankle on a non-contact injury on Monday in the Hornets 117-106 victory over the Detroit Pacers. Ball has missed time this season after dealing with multiple sprained ankles throughout the season. Ball was starting to find his grove as of late as the Hornets are currently on a five-game winning streak. Ball, has he put up 30 or more points in two of the Hornets last five games. Ball, scored 28 in one of those contests as well. The Hornets losing Ball for the season is a huge blow, although the Hornets sit 14th in the Eastern Conference standings as they currently 20-43 on the season, 12 games back in the playoff race, with just over a month left in the regular season. Ball, currently averages 23.3 points per game, along with six rebounds and eight assists.
