Cleveland--Travis Steele's first season in Miami ends in round one of the MAC tournament at the hands of the #1 seed Toledo Rockets.

Miami fought very hard to start out the game, but Toledo ended up being just too much for the Hawks when they took a 15-point lead with 11:20 to go in the first half, though Miami fought back to within single-digits they were never able to put together a long enough run to fight back into contention.

Miami (OH) got big games from junior Morgan Safford (21 points) and another gritty performance from Mekhi Lairy (12 points, 6-6 from the free-throw line). Julian Lewis and Anderson Mirabeaux also contributed to Miami's fight each scoring in double-digits.

On the other end, Toledo showed why they were the #1 in the tournament getting big scoring games from Setric Millner Jr and EJ Farmer (each with 19 points) as well as JT Shumate (17 points), and RayJ Dennis (15 points).

Miami (OH)'s season ends at 12-20, though they ended the regular season on a four-game win streak carrying momentum into the off-season.
